Group Campsite – Located on the ocean side of Elliott Key about a third of a mile from the main campground and restrooms. Trails may be overgrown in places, as foliage grows year round and quickly in the warm and humid climate. There is a one mile long loop trail between the bay and ocean sides of Elliott Key beginning at the marina. One runs across the entire seven miles of Elliott Key (fourteen miles round trip). Trails - Two trails tunnel through the tropical hardwood hammock of Elliott Key. Food and garbage should be stored in a boat or animal-proof cooler. Dead and downed wood may be collected only within the vicinity of the campgrounds. Pets, with the exception of service animals, are not allowed on Boca Chita Key including vessels docked at Boca Chita Key.įires - Ground fires are not permitted except at the group campsite on Elliott Key. Pets – On Elliott Key pets on a leash are permitted within developed areas only. Expect heavy populations of insects during the warmer months. During quiet hours all noise must be kept to a minimum.
